Jamia Journal Will be on Hiatus Till April

Due to ongoing mid-semester exams for those students who are following the semester academic system, and upcoming annual exams in April for those students who are still part of the annual academic system, we here at Jamia Journal will be in exam mode for the next couple of months.

For the next two weeks, there will practically be no updates on Jamia Journal; while in April, when we’re done with the mid-semester exams, we will resume operations; however, updates will be infrequent because most students will be taking their annual exams, and students under the semester system will be gearing up for their final exams to be held in the month of May.

A Word on our Journey

On behalf of everyone at Jamia Journal, I’d like to express my gratitude to all our readers who made this newspaper a success by regularly visiting, reading and commenting on our articles.

Back in January, at the beginning of this semester, we formally launched our newspaper with a single writer/reporter (besides myself of course). And now, after only two and a half months in running, we have a dedicated team of  11 writers with requests to join the team almost every few days. And I’m not even considering reader contributions here, who have been several over the past couple of months.

But what’s most impressive for us is the fact that our readership has gone up from about 20 readers in an entire week, in early January, to currently about 300 readers in a week. And everyday the figure slightly goes up as more and more people find out about us.

We are optimistic about our future and hope you will support us in making Jamia Journal — THE — source of information at Jamia, for all things Jamia.
