Student Alleges Victimisation Due to RTI Applications, Reports The Hindu

According to an article titled “Student alleges victimisation due to RTI applications” published in The Hindu, dated Dec. 20, 2011, a seventeen-year-old Mohammed Mobashshir, a student of Jamia Senior Secondary School, was expelled from school a year ago for, “‘unending misbehaviour and indiscipline,” in the words of the school officials.

The gist of the article is: when Mobashir questioned the ways of the school authorities with the aid of Right To Information Act, he got “disciplined” first by having to explain himself for questioning authority, and when that didn’t work, he got expelled for bad behavior and misusing the RTI Act in order to defame the good name of Jamia.
