Virender Sehwag to be Immortalized with a Brass Statue at Jamia

According to an article titled “Virender Sehwag’s statue to be put up in Jamia Millia Islamia,” dated Dec. 23, 2011, published in India Today: Virender Sehwag, a Jamia alumnus and a cricket player for the Indian national team, will be honored by Jamia by having a brass statue of him installed on Jamia campus.

The statue is reported to cost Rs. 10 lakh.

Additionally, Jamia will name the cricket pavilion at the sports complex after him.

Details on where this statue will be placed and when this would take place are not mentioned in the article.
