Munni Begum Live in Concert at Jamia

In celebration of Delhi’s supposed centennial anniversary as the capital of India, the internationally renowned Pakistani ghazal singer, Munni Begum performed live at the Ansari Auditorium on Friday, Dec. 30, 2011.

The guest of honor for the event was the Delhi legislative assembly member, Asif Muhammad Khan.

The event was organized by a charitable organization for social development named “Shikhar.”

Even before the event began, the auditorium was so full, it was bursting at the seams. Though it bears mentioning, keeping in with tradition, the event started an hour late.
