Talk on “Silk Road: The Post-Cold War Context” on Sept 27

The University Grants Commission (UGC)-Central Asia Studies Programme, Academy of International Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia is going to organize a Talk on “Silk Road: The Post-Cold War Context” by Dr. Sreemati Ganguli. The Talk shall be chaired by Dr. Meena Singh Roy.

Sreemati Ganguli is a Visiting Fellow in the Institute of Foreign Policy Studies, University of Calcutta. She is a former Fellow of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asia Studies, Kolkatta. She did her Ph.D. in Indo-Russian relations. She is author of Indo-Russian Relations: The Making of Relationship 1992-2002. Her research interests include Russian foreign as well as energy policies, Russia’s relations with the West, and energy geopolitics and security scenario in Eurasia and South Asia. She has presented papers in International conferences and has contributed articles in national and international edited volumes.

The programme is scheduled to be held on September 27, 2012 at 11.30 AM in the Ho Chi Minh Conference Hall, Academy of International Studies,  Jamia Millia Islamia.
