Picture: Make Way for the Ducklings

About the Picture: I took this picture in front of the geography department last month (September). What’s interesting about this picture, to me,  is that the children walking across the picture are  presumed to be children of construction workers, who are currently building departments and centers of eduction for Jamia. What is unfortunate, is that their children will never have the means and the opportunity to attend a university like Jamia given their status in society. Though their parents build these universities with their bare hands, these children will probably grow up — assuming they will be lucky enough to reach adulthood — to do what their parents are doing right now — constructing buildings for the people who can afford to get an education.
