The sepia toned exhibition from the Archives traces the family history of Motilal Nehru, shows his childhood and growing up days through photographs and well written text panels.

There are sections dedicated to ‘The Man’ with lovely photographs illustrating Motilal’s vibrant personality and his royal lifestyle; a section  to mark  his successful  days ‘As a Lawyer’; another section   highlighting his role ‘As a Father’ which has interesting photographs of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru’s childhood and school days at Harrow, his association with national leaders in Anand Bhavan and the involvement of the father and the son in the freedom struggle, their  forsaking  of  all  luxuries and  their  move towards  Swaraj with  Mahatma Gandhi, their days  in jail  and  his  end without being able to see  nation’s independence for which he gave up  everything.

The exhibition is on view  for all  till  the 10th April, 2013 between 10 AM  to 5 PM  on  all  working  days at Jamia’s Premchand Archives & Literary Centre, Al-Beruni Block, Jamia Millia Islamia.
