Jamia to Re-conduct Entrance Test for MA Political Science on July 4

The Entrance Test for admission to M.A. in Political Science for the session 2013-14 at Jamia Millia Islamia was held on June 18, 2013.

As is the practice in the university, there were four sets of Question Papers for the Entrance Test for MA in Political Science as well. However, upon completion of the Entrance Test it was pointed out by some of the candidates that approximately 15-20 questions were repeated in some of the sets of the Question Papers. On preliminary enquiry by the university, it was established that indeed 15-20 questions were repeated in some of the sets of questions papers.

Taking serious note of this error, the university has ordered an inquiry into the matter and in the interest of the candidates has decided to cancel the Entrance Test held on the 18th of June, 2013. On completion of the inquiry, the university will take suitable action against the official responsible for this error.

The University has also decided to re-conduct the Entrance Test for MA in Political Science. The new date of the Entrance Test is 4th July, 2013. The Test will be held at 10 AM in the Commerce Building on Jamia Millia Islamia campus.

The University will be taking out an advertisement to this effect in leading dailies so that the prospective candidates are informed in advance. The university will also inform the candidates via email and phone calls. The schedule will also be displayed on the Jamia website www.jmi.ac.in. The candidates are advised to visit the website for further details.

The university regrets the inconvenience caused to the candidates and their parents/guardians and assures them that the students’ interest remains the primary concern for the university.
