IASE, F/o Education Students Hold Freshers Party for New 2013 Batch

Giving a warm welcome, seniors in the Institute for Advanced Studies in Education (IASE), Faculty of Education, JMI threw a bash for their juniors on 21 August 2013 in the New Hall, IASE Building.

The programme began with Mr. Najeeb Akhtar, a IInd year ETE student, reciting the Holy verses of the Quran, followed by its translation by Syed Arsalan Hasan, also a IInd year ETE student. This  was followed by the singing of  Tarana-e-Jamia. An essential part of the programme was introductions by every fresher. As this party was meant for the freshers, they gave their best to make the party a historic and successful from every aspect. Shabnam, student of E.T.E IInd year, livened up the place with her mesmerizing voice by singing a Ghazal.

Interacting with the juniors, Musheer Alam, a IInd year student, shared his experiences and offered a helping hand on behalf of seniors for everything up to possible extent.

Addressing the students, Head of the Department, IASE, Prof. Aejaz Masih, wished the students a better future.  An interesting point of this party was that seniors judged who will be declared Mr. Fresher and Miss Fresher. Manawwar Sultan and Zeba Islam were awarded Mr. Fresher and Miss. Fresher respectively. Conferring the awards, Dr. Jaseem Ahmad, Coordinator ETE IInd year urged the students to work hard and make their parents and teachers proud of them and praised the efforts of the organizers for organizing a wonderful party.

All the seniors did their best to make the party successful. Some of the names worth mentioning are Mohd. Anas, Mohd Salman Ali, Safiya Siddiqui, Tabassum, Ateequr Rehman, Duraksha, Mohd Faizan and Mohd Asrar.

Everybody, including the teachers of the department, enjoyed the party.
