Jamia Law Students Win National and Int’l Moot Court Competitions

[Following is an official Jamia press release dated Oct. 11, 2013]

It is a matter of great pride and pleasure that the students of Jamia Millia Islamia have won two major Moot Court Competitions held recently.

Jamia won First Prize in the National Moot Court Competition held at FYLC Ranka Law College, Rajasthan University last month. The follwing students of Jamia represented the university:

1) Fahimuddin Ahmad Khan

2) Shoain Khan

3) Armaan Pratap Singh.

The team also won a Cash Prize of Rs.10,000/- in the Competition.

Jamia team also participated in an International Moot Court Competition which was held at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, affiliated to GGIP University in the month of October, 2013. The following students of Jamia participated in the competition:

1)  Anirudh Arora

2)  Ananya Mamgaain

3)  Christy Alex

The Jamia team won the competition and also received a Cash Prize of Rs.35,000/- in the competition.

Ms. Ananya Mamgaain was also adjudged as Best Lady Advocate in the competition.
