The Centre for North East Studies and Policy Research, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi in collaboration with the Centre for Policy Research (CPR), the Academy of International Studies, also of JMI, and ANFREL Foundation, Bangkok, cordially invite you to an International Conference on ‘Myanmar: Distant Neighbour’ scheduled to take place at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi on 5 December, 2012, (Wednesday) at Rabindranath Tagore Hall, near the Administrative Block, at Jamia.
The Conference is bringing together an outstanding group of academics, political activists, media persons etc in an effort to enable Myanmar and India to become better neighbours. This process has received a great impetus from the recent visits of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, President U Thein Sein and Nobel laureate Aung Sang Suu Kyi.
The conference will discuss ‘Evolving Political Landscapes in Myanmar’ and ‘Myanmar & Transition: The Challenges of Sustainability’ while there will be a Panel discussion on ‘India-Myanmar-China Relations’.
