Jamia Millia Islamia will celebrate its 94th Foundation Day on October 29. Traditionally, this is the occasion for the entire Jamia bridari to congregate and celebrate together.
The Foundation Day celebration of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) will begin at 10.30 AM in the Forecourt of Dr. M.A. Ansari Auditorium, JMI where the Chief Guest Dr. Karan Singh, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) along with Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia shall receive the Guard of Honour by the NCC Cadets of Jamia.
This will be followed by a Flag Hoisting Ceremony by the Chief Guest Dr. Karan Singh and a Foundation Day Function at Dr. M.A. Ansari Auditorium which is traditionally organized by the Jamia Middle School. Apart from other programmes, the Chief Guest and the Vice-Chancellor will address the audience as well.
On this occasion, the Chief Guest Dr. Karan Singh will inaugurate ‘Talimi Mela’ in the lawns of Dr. M.A. Ansari Auditorium, JMI at 12.00 Noon.

The third-day of the celebrations will have a series of lectures. Shri Prabhat Kumar, former Governor of Jharkhand and a Cabinet Secretary in the Government of India will deliver a lecture on “Contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’ at 10.30 A.M. in the CIT Conference Hall, JMI. The Faculty of Humanities & Languages has organized special lectures on Sardar Patel’s Contribution by eminent scholars and literary figures.
