Oct. 30, 2015: Career Expo-2015 was inaugurated by Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) today to promote an interface with companies and organizations offering career opportunities to students. Among those present in the Career Expo were Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, Wipro, Accenture, Campus France, Anglo Eastern, NSIC, Frankfinn Management Consultant, Emirates, GateForum, The Chopras, Jatin Chawla’s, Curtain University, EZ.
The Career Expo-2015 has been put together by the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and University Placement Cell of JMI.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Talat Ahmad hoped that the students of the university would get suitably motivated to explore career opportunities offered by these prestigious organizations and companies.
Prof. Talat Ahmad got a hands-on-feel of flying Mig-29 on a simulator that was put on display for students to experience the thrill of flying. The event which is organized under the aegis of ‘Talimi Mela’ drew a huge crowd and was instant hit amongst students.
It is worth mentioning that the University Placement Cell has been successfully raising job opportunities for the students in the university even as the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is promoting incubation of innovations on the campus.
The innovated products and processes are also put on display in the Talimi Mela.
