According to a Hindustan Times article titled “Jamia Millia to Delay Semester System” dated Feb. 21, 2011: Jamia has postponed for a year the implementation of the semester system at the undergraduate level
The semester system was scheduled to be introduced in the upcoming academic session of 2011-2012.
Jamia’s media coordinator, Simi Malhotra is quoted to have said, “”Last year, we revised the Master’s, M.Phil and Ph.d courses. All this was very time-consuming. Since the number of courses at the undergraduate level are more, we need time to restructure them properly.”
