Jamia Journal Independent Student-run News Website of Jamia Millia Islamia (a Central University)

After months of toil and labour, the Official Information Portal of Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia was launched on Friday, 24th June 2011.
The faculty website www.jmifet.ac.in was released as a part of the project JMIFET www.jmifet.org which aims at overall development of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia. The initiative was taken by the students and alumni of the faculty in close association with the teachers of the faculty as also training and placement office, Jamia Millia Islamia.
The Portal is aimed at improving the web presence of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and building closer relations with the industry and the corporate sector.
As part of this vision, the team has already implemented the Knowledge Repository and Mentorship Programme which has been received extremely well by the students. Knowledge Repository is an online platform which services as a one-point stop for sharing academic material, class notes, assignments and journals. The focus of the Mentorship Programme is to facilitate JMIFET Alumni and Administration guide and to mentor current students.
The project has several other initiatives in the pipeline, like Jobs and Internship Portal, Monthly Newsletter, Alumni Advisory Board etc.
