Events Layout for Tangelo Town Fest – Jan. 18-20

The year 2013 at the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia has begun on a festive note. The Faculty is organizing TANGELO TOWN’13, Jamia Millia Islamia’s Annual Techno-Cultural Festival from January 18-20, 2013. The theme of the festival is globalization. Model United Nations, International Conference on Sustainable Technologies and Tangelo Sports League are the flagship events among 50 events to roll out in the next three days.

While 14th January marked the commencement of TANGELO TOWN’S first weeklong event, i.e. Tangelo Sports League, the other events start tomorrow.

The Inaugural Ceremony of TANGELO TOWN will be held at 11 AM on 18 January, 2013 in the MA Ansari Auditorium where Mr Mukul Kasliwal, Chairman of MW Corp, S Kumar’s Group will be the Chief Guest. Vice Chancellor Mr. Najeeb Jung will preside over the inaugural ceremony.

The Opening Ceremony of Model United Nations will be held at 10 AM on January 19, 2013 in the MA Ansari Auditorium where Mr. Peter Vrooman, Spokesperson, US Embassy will be the Chief Guest. Registrar Prof SM Sajid will preside over the Opening Ceremony.

The Closing Ceremony and Prize Distribution of TANGELO TOWN will be held at 3 PM on 20 January, 2013 in the MA Ansari Auditorium where Cricketer Mr. Virender Sehwag, also an alumnus of Jamia Millia Islamiawill be the Chief Guest. Pro Vice Chancellor Prof SM Rashid will preside over the ceremony.

Prof Moinuddin, Pro Vice Chancellor, Delhi Technical University will be the Chief Guest at the Inauguration of the ‘International Conference on Sustainable Technologies’ which will begin at 10 AM on January 18 in Dayare Mir Taqi Mir.

There will also be a photo exhibition called ‘50 States 50 Days’ which will be held in the MF Husain Art Gallery.
