Jamia Annual Techno-Cultural Fest ENCONMIUM XV Begins

The three-day Annual Techno-Cultural Fest “ENCONMIUM XV” was inaugurated today by Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia. The annual festival, organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Jamia Millia Islamia every year, is the largest techno-fest organized in Jamia Millia Islamia that involves both technological and cultural events.

In his inaugural address, the Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia exhorted the students to excel in their academic pursuits. He said that students need to be competitive to take leadership positions in different walks of life. He advised students to contribute to the corporate life of the nation by designing innovative products that could be used by people at large. He congratulated the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia for the organization of the robust techno-cultural fest on the campus.

Ms. Preeti Malhotra, Executive Director, Spice Global, Inc. was the Guest of Honour at the event. In her address, she inspired the students to harness the technological advancements that have come about in the world to impact the lives of people.

Prof. Mohammad Shakeel, Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia presided over the ceremony.

Prof. Preeti Mini Thomas, Director, Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Jamia Millia Islamia advised the students to come forward and be part of the Incubation Cell set-up by Jamia Millia Islamia to innovate technological products for the benefit of society.

On this occasion, a magazine “ENCORE” was also launched.
